Any free online photo-editing sites like Photoshop?

Asked by MCBeat (164points) March 13th, 2009

I’ve tried photoshop.com, photobucket… Ugh. I’m trying to put my face on a celebrity’s body for a little project, but… it’s impossible. I like PHotoshop, I’m ROP-certified in Computer Graphic Arts, but like an idiot I never bought my own program, just used the ones at school. I want a site where I can put the images on seperate layers, like Photoshop, and rotate, erase, etc, then merge them. Does this exist??

Why not use The Gimp or Paint.net.. Both will do the job and are free.

There’s also Aviary and its photo-editing program Phoenix. It’s web-based, but I can’t vouch for it having all the features you need.

I use Irfanview… mostly because it is fast and easy AND free! You might like to try CNET or downloads.com to see what is available online.

Another webapp is Sumopaint.com

It’s made by adobe, and offered features from both photoshop and illustrator.

Pixlr is amazing, I haven’t used the others so can’t compare directly but I’m surprised how much functionality they can get out of a browser.

I would also recommend The Gimp; I use it all the time and it works great for me. Free too!
