I need to buy a new computer. Any suggestions?

I do a decent amount of video editing (home movies) in HD and my wife does a lot of work with her photography. Needless to say we have a lot of video and pictures on our current machine. We also have a lot of music on our computer. We currently have a iMac and I am leaning towards getting another one but wanted to know what you all thought.
