Lake Anne’s dock where Georgery lives.
By the ocean in the middle of the night with the waves just barely reaching my toes.

Definitely the zoo. Other nice places I like are parks, museums, the lake, the beach, and my home. Which is where the heart is right?

I love Boone, NC. Drop me there for a weekend and I a happy person. I love the shops, the scenery and just to relax. We rent a cabin there, same place, same cabin – as often as humanly possible, and just hang out. Even the kids enjoy it.

Favorite place to eat – Lupie’s. A dive to some, but wonderful. There’s something for everyone.

I love the view from the women’s bathroom on the 75th floor of the Columbia Tower Club in Seattle. (The photo really does not do it justice).

I love the ceiling of Grand Central Station in New York City. (Even more amazing now that it is restored.)

I love to meet at the Eagle in Macy’s (once Wanamaker’s) at lunchtime to hear the Wanamaker organ concerts in Philadelphia.

I love the Pine Barrens in New Jersey.

I love the Washington Coast around Moclips.

I love Ft. DeSoto County Park in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida.

I can’t name them all. Too many.

@uberbatman It’s way too early for the New Jersey blueberries still, isn’t it? I used to love to go swimming there and pick blueberries.

El_Cadejo's avatar

@Marina yea we still have a couple months. I live down in Hammonton which is considered the blue berry capital of the world. I <3 blueberries ^_^

There is (was) this place just outside of Ft. Collins, CO called Swetsville Zoo. It’s this awesome outdoor space with these really large, creative animal/monster sculptures made out of old car parts. I love it there.

I just read in the paper this week that it closed early this week so the roads could expand to accommodate a Wal-Mart. Sigh.

Stokes State Forest in Sussex County, NJ. My family of birth vacationed there in its wonderful CCC cabins when I was a girl and the family I birthed vacationed there as well.

I also like spending time at some of the more out of the way cemeteries, just wandering among the trees and paths, studying the tombstones and enjoying the melacholy feel of such a quiet and peaceful place. Someday, all of us will be there, and I think I am just getting a feel for it. :-)
