Twitter- Is anyone else having an issue today?

Yep! I keep losing Tweets.

I’ve had a few get eaten. They are making a lot of updates and there were two big events this week (SXSW and the Apple announcement) that brought high traffic to the site. It should clear up soon, but I don’t know if our tweets will come back from the great beyond.

Okay, good to know! It’s weird, my tweet count is still up, but the tweets are just gone. I don’t like that.

Just for clarification I have had a few disappear in the past, but I haven’t lost any recently (including today).

I’ve lost about 10 today. It’s very frustrating. Especially since some are lost to me, but apparently my friends can see them.

Summary:
– some users…missing updates from their timeline due to a database issue
– updates are not permanently lost
– Update (4:40p): As of right now, updates should be flowing through normally
– there will be some gaps from earlier in the day which we intend to backfill later
– doing everything we can to address the situation

I haven’t lost any personally but people on my follow list have been losing them for days now, and continue to.

Yes, I too have lost 3 tweets today… my count keeps going up but posted tweets disappear.

I created an account, and played with it a bit, but I still don’t understand what Twitter is about. What am I supposed to do? How do I meet interesting like-minded people?
