My real user name is Dutchess….but apparently it’s taken already, by someone who can’t spell any better than I. :)

It is my first and last name in ROT-26.

It is what the kids at my sons school started to call me in Kindergarten. Mrs. Beverley was to difficult for them to pronounce all at once. It just stuck. They are now in 6th grade. Some have change to Mrs. but most have not!

It was the nickname me and my camp-mates had for each other five years ago.

Mine is a combination of the fact that I used to be a lot more vocal about my political views, and the fact that my friend Benjamin had been watching the episode of Robot Chicken in which the “Monkeys in Space” clip was shown.

charlie is derived from a moniker i received years ago as i directed a major music event. the three women working under me (wow, makes me sound like a pimp) began to call me “charlie” as in charlie’s angels because i was throwing around all kinds of orders by voice email. the “company” just sounds right because of a military thing i guess. and “34” is a number combo i seemed to be haunted with every day. every time i happened to look at a clock, it would be 12:34 or 3:34 or 6:34 or whatever hour “34.” actually was quite scary.

Dansedescygnes is based on my user name at AIROW “Lelacdescygnes”. “Dansedescygnes” is French “danse des cygnes” meaning “dance of the swans”. It’s No. 13 from Tchaikovsky’s ballet Swan Lake or Le Lac Des Cygnes (The Lake of Swans). I decided to go with “Dansedescygnes” because “D” is my favorite letter and I wanted to combine my old wis.dm user name DKdominic with my old AIROW username.

My user name on another site used to be my full name, until the formatting changed and uncharactered spaces were no longer allowed to be used. Henceforth I became jo_with_no_space (ie. space keys) but the name sort of made sense for my character too, once I thought about it :)

My full name is Michelle Christine Beattie. I was auditioning for a talent show as a joke as a rapper. I needed a rap name quick, and since my first name and middle name’s first initials spell out “MC” I went with that. And if you cut off the “tie” in Beattie, WA-LA! MC Beat! A solid rapper name. Too bad I’m a white girl with no rhythm or vocal skills.

@DutchCat no, once you create it the only way to change it is to start a new one.

Bleh. I may do that…is there another Dutchess on here? Because…that’s my “real” username but it’s supposedly already taken…

@DutchCat i’m sorry to say that I looked it up and someone did once take that username only to never come back to the site again. Unfortunately it’s been taken so it’s no longer available at all. You might try spelling Duchess correctly if you really want the name. I’m not sure if anyone has that one yet.

Don’t wanna do that! It’s….a long story. A friend of mine in Wis.dm had a play account he named Duchess, and once people learned to recognize the spelling they learned to quickly realize it wasn’t me! Also…my original name on Wis was Dutch Cat, and Dutchess was suggested to me long, long ago, by Balmung. Who’s around here somewhere.
I’m almost wondering if that old Dutchess IS me, and I’d signed in with one of my yahoo accounts and forgot….how do I find that person?
