To the married ladies: what were some bachelorette party surprises or little things that made the party special for you?

Asked by emilyrose (2272points) March 22nd, 2009

I’ve asked similar questions but wondering if there are any ideas for the bachelorette party I’m planning for my best friend. Some hosts make custom t-shirts, etc…. my friend is very-low key, and won’t agree to anything embarrassing, but I am sure would appreciate some little surprises. Any ideas?

My friends took me on a scavenger hunt. At each location, there was something for me to take with us while on our honeymoon. Some of the stops were just questions. If I didn’t answer the questions correctly, I would get what was at the location – if not, I wouldn’t get the item. Also, they taped the scavenger hunt and gave a copy to my husband. He got a kick out of it, especially when I answered on of the basic questions about him.

To set it up, they had the items at some stores or at some of his friend’s houses.

It was pretty fun and the video still cracks us up, when we watch it. :)

I haven’t had one myself but the last one we went to we did karaoke at a Philipino karaoke bar. It. Was. Awesome. Great food, drinks, and dumb ass behavior all around!

My friend was also low-key and she’s very shy, so I sang everything with her. After a few drinks we were having a great time, and we went on a weeknight so it was empty to save her ego. :)

I told my friends nothing embarassing and then they took me to a group pole dancing class. It was super fun though—and totally exhausting. Then they took me to a great hotel downtown where they had gotten us a huge suite for the night. We played some funny games and had champagne and small bites. Then we got showered and ready together and went out for dinner and drinks. Everyone had a great time.
