What are your thoughts on the DREAM Act?

“The federal DREAM Act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act), is a bipartisan legislation that would permit students brought to the country illegally as children conditional legal status and eventual citizenship.”

It seems this bill will be reintroduced in the upcoming weeks.

It’s a tough one. On the one hand, I can see where we wouldn’t want to reward people for coming here illegally. On the other hand, these kids would be required to get a college degree and/or serve in the armed forces. They could be an asset to our country.
