Can anyone tell me if I sell my iPod touch, will the new owner have any problems using it since it's registered to me?

Is there anything I need to know or do about selling it?

I don’t think so. I’ve purchased a used iPod before and it works just fine for me. Only make sure to remove your private stuff.

S/he won’t be able to copy the songs currently in it to their computer, though.

@Sr_Q will they be able to remove the songs if they don’t like them?

When ever I plug one of my iPods into my parents’ computer for a recharge, if iTunes is up, I get a dialog box asking me if I want to (a) transfer purchases or (b) clear out the iPod memory and sync to the local library.

@the_force yes, the can remove all or some of them.

But warning: the first time they plug it in it will ask if they want to “sync it” with their iTunes. If they do so, it will overwrite the whole thing and delete all your songs. If they want manual control (to keep and add what they want)—they should “enable disk use” and “manually manage music and videos.”

Plug the iPod into your computer, and choose to “restore” it to factory settings. It’ll do it’s stuff, and then a setup window will appear asking you to begin setting it up. Cancel that, eject the device and then switch it off. The person you sell it to will be asked to do the standard out-of-the-box setup when they plug it in for the first time, and it won’t have any of your personal stuff on there.

I think richardhenry’s advice is good. Just clear everything out.
