You mean expensive- as in $$ right?

I would assume it is because of the insurance in case you are injured.

Horses are expensive to maintain. The high price of lessons is a way for stables to cover costs.

1. The trainer’s time and expertise.

2. If they are providing the horse, its care and upkeep.

3. Rental of the space or facility usually an arena.

Now that I have answered seriously, can I ask if it was phrased “sexpensive,” because you are paying with your body?

Or getting that little charge that comes from sitting on a horse moving up and down, up and down, up and….

Because there is sex involved.
That’s my sexplaination, anyway.

marinelife's avatar

@gailcalled In that case, shouldn’t she pay double?

My golf lessons are $ 120 and there is no sex involved, otherwise it would be around $ 250, at least.

@Marina; I am told that you can get the same results for free by sitting on a running dryer. Of course, you have less fresh air and an ugly view.
