Best tube preamp for vinyl?

I’ve been looking into buying a tube preamp for my budding vinyl collection. I’m a bit of an audiophile being a musician, though this is new territory for me.

One of the amps I’ve been looking into is the Dynaco PAS-2. Maybe the more knowledgeable folks on here can tell me what you think of those or something like that. Good price to pay, better solution for the money, opinion of sound quality, etc.

I’ll be running it into a pair of Mackie MR8’s.
