OH, GAWD! MY FIRST WIFE!
PMS on super steroids! It eventually evolved into CMS. That’s when we had to call it quits.
Not an issue with my current spouse, thank the good Lord. She’s a saint.

Well, she’d have to be, married to me and all.

Makes me want to be a man.

I cry a lot and eat my weight in ice cream while watching 16 candles. My girlfriend never understands why.

I don’t really get angry, I just get incredibly insecure, emotionally vulnerable, worry more, get defensive and go cry about something irrelevant and stupid.

I usually spend more time alone, exercise a little bit more to burn off some anxiety, and remind myself that it’s just chemicals and this isn’t who I really am most of the time, it’ll pass.

I’m not sure this is helpful to you, though. When I used to be on the pill, it would give me the PMS-rage, and I’d try to use that pent up energy to buckle down and do the things I’d been putting off (like cleaning, organizing, exercising).

As far as trying to get off the mad-at-myself-for-being-mad cycle, I’d go nap. It sounds silly, but sometimes it was the only way I could do a hard reset.

I don’t think I get PMS. All my symptoms happen during my period.

i handle PMS by understanding it from her perspective. go to another room because there is no clear answer for the behavior.

“how men handle PMS on the outside looking in.” i mean, we don’t have it, but veteran spouses just keep the distance. (PMS from a man’s perspective—some of us understand.)

It don’t
there is nothing wrong w/me
everything happens as Mother Nature intended
just because I menstruate once a month does not mean something is wrong w/me

im not saying its wrong, but it makes me want to do wrong things.

@A_Beaverhausen You might want to look into switching your birth control, if you’re on any. When I was on the pill I got crazy pms (I woudn’t get angry, but I’d cry if someone blinked wrong)... since going off it, my pms isn’t completely better, but it’s much much different. Talk to your dr.

I become a huge bitch, everything annoys me. I also get pregnancy symptoms, but it’s usually just my period coming on..but I freak out thinking I’m pregnant.

Varies very much month to month.. Little pains in the affected places are par for the course.. Sometimes I get more wound-up, or more sensitive, or sometimes that has little effect at all. I invariably get more tired as the period gets nearer and nearer, and the tioredness peaks once it’s started.
