Lots of hoopla over AIG bonuses - but now Congress wants a raise?

You really should include a link to more details. It’s not that they want a raise, just that they didn’t bother to vote against the automatic raise.

To put it in some perspective, the total raise for all of Congress is $2.5 million.
The AIG bonuses that were handed out was around $165 million.

Congress gets a pay increase every year. They probably don’t deserve it, but they get it anyway. Most public employees have a schedule of raises as well.
