Any useful tips for camping en route on the Lycian Way?

Specifically, what kind of information are you looking for?

I’m looking for information about things i might not think to bring with me that could however prove useful (e.g. i saw in a guidebook someone recommended bringing a tin with a length of string for drawing water from wells). That sort of insight – whether from someone who is local or someone who has done the walk.
