I was just curious as I know someone whose just recently applied for an Medical Radiologic Technology program why jewellery need’s to be removed, apart from the obstruction of the xray image’s accuracy =^.^=

Apart from hiding potential internal damage, I can think of no other reason.

It may also appear as a spot on your x-ray and be interpreted as some sort of problem in your body.

If you go for an MRI, one of the concerns is the strong magnetic attraction to the bling.
