What are the chemicals in cosmetics that have been outlawed in Europe and maybe soon in California?

Other countries have outlawed certain chemicals in cosmetics and healthcare products that are considered unsafe. Companies will often market one version of a product in Europe and another for version for the US market. Remind me what to watch for and avoid.

Here a link that talks about a few of them, such as nickel (due to allergies), and others that cause skin and eye irritation. Here is another link talking about some harmful chemicals that are banned in countries, but not all are banned in Europe.
