Does anyone know this two words by Emerson ?

Asked by mirza (5057points) November 26th, 2007

Does anyone remember what Ralph Waldo Emerson called people who had all the knowledge but sat on the side and did not comment on anything or try to change anything. I think it’s from “Self Reliant” and its probably just two words that i cannot remember?

Oh my gosh I LOVE the word valetudinarian, I learned it from my nerd-tastic “Word of the Day” emails that I get and have never heard anyone use it. Way to go, mirza.
