what is the best way to tighten loose skin?

Asked by sanguinesky (23points) November 28th, 2007

I lost 130 pounds in about a year and a half due to dieting and exercise and now I have a lot of loose skin that is rather unnattractive. How can I tighten it up?

I believe that is that there is very little that can be done in those situations outside the realm of cosmetic surgery. My understanding is that many people who have experienced such drastic weight loss in effect get a tummy tuck to tighten everything up.

congratulations on your weight loss!!

http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/articles-submit/tom-venuto/loose-skin-blues.htm, http://allwomenstalk.com/how-to-tighten-loose-skin-after-weight-loss/, and http://weightloss.suite101.com/article.cfm/tighten_skin_after_losing_weight have some suggestions – they mention that it may tighten over time as you keep the weight off, exercise, eat well, etc – and i’m sure you can google for more. also, oprah did a special yesterday on people who’d lost a lot of weight through diet/exercise – perhaps there’s information on this there (you could check her website, or watch the show online)

Congratulations on your weight loss!
You can see a significant difference if you are patient by faithfully getting endermologie treatments while also having skin tighting body wraps done. This is going to give you a visible differences. The reason its not talked about often is because it doesn’t give the overnight results we are accustomed to here in the US. But endermologie therapy has been used in Europe for a very long time. Cosmetic surgeons here are now begining to prescribe the therapy to their patients as a post surgery therapy to assist in the skin tighting process.
I hope this helps. And,again, congratulations on your success.
