What makes a good song? Is it the rhythm? beat? lyrics? Are these the things that help keep it in your head all day?

Asked by sakura (8267points) April 14th, 2009

I’ve often wondered why certain tunes stay in your head all day, any ideas?

Have you ever heard of the term earworm? I don’t know what quality there is about a song that gets it stuck in my head, but I think it probably has to do with the general tune and beat. Usually perky things get stuck in my head.
