Lost mine to Pachelbel Canon, full orchestra, D major.

Epic? Yes. Didn’t take away the pain though!

aviona's avatar

Oh wow! That is epic @seekingwolf

I didn’t actually lose mine to that song. I don’t think there was music playing at the time. I just like the song and it seems…appropriate.

seekingwolf's avatar

@aviona

Yeah, I just listened to Hysteric that you posted and you’re right, that would be epic! extremely fitting.

I was all OCD about my first time and was like “We gotta listen to this!” haha otherwise I would have forgotten all about it!

Thank You – Led Zepplin…

“We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions” by Queen came to mind first.

“Tainted Love” by Soft Cell.

“Total Eclipse of The Heart” by Bonnie Tyler.

I lost my virginity to no music but I think Jamiroquai is good sex music. London Suede is good too.

David Bowie – Golden Years

Unfortunately, these days one can’t lose their virginity to him, so might as well have the next best thing!

AstroChuck's avatar

Hot Potato by the Wiggles.

kevbo's avatar

Wow. I never thought about that, but I’m pretty sure it was one of The Sundays albums.

Sweet Caroline would have been epic.

lefteh's avatar

Lost mine to Bittersweet Symphony…wouldn’t have it any other way.

knitfroggy's avatar

I lost mine to R Kelly’s “Bump and Grind” which was not even close to what was happening, I can assure you…(Jeeze the first time is so horrible!)

On a side note, my husband and I ticked off the neighbor’s to Nine Inch Nails “Closer” one time when we were first married, and that was awesome.

Jefferson Starship: Miracles
(in my case it was the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album)

Steeley Dan. Or

Maybe some old blues, but not too old – like early Clapton. (For the rhythm.)

Marvin Gaye: Let’s Get it On.

Just about anything by Barry White. ;-)

Well, the first time I had sex, there was no music but I have a funny sex/music story.

I was dating a girl named Kandi and after the first time we did the deed, I began to hum Sex and Candy by Marcy Playground. She didn’t find it too funny but I used that the rest of the time I was with her.

I think she secretly loved it…

cookieman's avatar

@The_Compassionate_Heretic: So right about Jamiroquai. I would choose Black Capricorn Day.

I think we played In My Life by Prince. Or maybe it was Adore off the same album (Sign o’ the Times).

there comes a time, in every man’s life, when he gets tired, of fooling around; juggling hearts, in a three ring circus, someday drive a body down to the ground; I never imagined that love would reign on me, and make me want to settle down; but baby it’s true, I know I do, and I just want to tell you that I wanna with you…

I have a huge list of music to fuck to, but I lost my virginity to The Warmest Part of the Winter by Voxtrot. I really loved the guy, and he was so kind as to let me put the song on repeat so it just played over and over during our entire encounter. It’s not really a ‘fucking’ song, it’s a song for ‘making love,’ and it’s beautiful.

Some of the highlights of my ‘fucking’ music, however, include:
I Want You So Bad – Sean Costello
Snakeface – Throwing Muses
I Wanna Lick You Up and Down – Silk
O Mio Babbino Caro – East Village Opera Company
Smoke Baby – Hawksley Workman
Baby Come Close – Smokey Robinson
Scandalous – Prince
Nice and Slow – Usher
Night Drive – Jimmy Eat World
You Can Leave Your Hat On – Etta James
Say Yes – Floetry
Bilingual (Dirty Mix) – Jose Nunez
Wrap Your Arms Around Me – the Barenaked Ladies
Lay Your Head on My Pillow – Al Green
Something to Do With My Hands – Her Space Holiday

And that’s some real baby-makin’ shit right there.

Well, for me it was “My parents won’t be home for 30 minutes, let’s go!” but it there were to be music, probably one of these:

Satisfy My Soul – Bob Marley & The Wailers
Suite: Judy Blue Eyes – Crosby, Stills & Nash
Two Step – Dave Matthews Band
Super Bad, Pts. 1 & 2 – James Brown & The J.B.‘s
The Battle of Evermore – Led Zeppelin
Run Like An Antelope – Phish
What’d I Say (Parts I & II) – Ray Charles
Primal Scream – Rusted Root
The Calling – Santana
I Want To Take You Higher – Sly & The Family Stone
Tupelo Honey – Van Morrison

casheroo's avatar

I never even thought about this.

But, my husband loves to remind me about our first make out session, and I picked a lot of my favorite songs. Hurt by Johnny Cash was one of them…such a depressing song, and he still teases me about it. lol

FGS's avatar

I’m surprised no one said Closer – Nine Inch Nails…not the best song to lose your virginity to but a GREAT fuck song all the same.

eponymoushipster's avatar

@FGS i knew a girl who said she played that every time she and her boyfriend got frisky. it’s a tad cliche.

FGS's avatar

@eponymoushipster Maybe, but it doesn’t beat a couple I knew that called Turbo Lover – Judas Priest “their song” :)

wundayatta's avatar

@aviona: What? Are you telling me you can’t last that long? [Daloon shakes his head sadly, wondering what the world is coming to]

fireside's avatar

the big brass bed was a good choice, daloon

essieness's avatar

This is sort of cliche, but I almost can’t believe nobody’s mentioned Fade Into You by Mazzy Star. Hell, anything from that album is basically amazing.

Ok, also Color Blind by Counting Crows or Magdelena by Ian Moore. So pretty.

eponymoushipster's avatar

@essieness fade into you? zoinks.

essieness's avatar

@eponymoushipster I warned you that it’s cliche. It’s still a winner ;)

eponymoushipster's avatar

@essieness i know i know. and it’s very cute that you lost your virginity at a jr high dance. hehehe

aviona's avatar

Haha @essieness Reese Witherspoon looses her virginity to Color Blind in Cruel Intentions!
It’s pretty epic.

essieness's avatar

@aviona Yes, that is epic!

eponymoushipster's avatar

The bum bum song by tom green. depends on which virginity you mean

deni's avatar

The Star Wars theme song. OBviously…

eponymoushipster's avatar

@deni did your partner, upon hearing that, say “I’ve got a bad feeling about this….”?

deni's avatar

@eponymoushipster – hahah, no, he was probably in his glory, being a star wars fanatic and all :P

aprilsimnel's avatar

This one! This is the song! At least near the end of, er, things, this should be the song…

eponymoushipster's avatar

@deni at any point, did he say “That’s no moon, it’s a space station!”?

deni's avatar

hm no…what does that mean? is that a star wars reference? im not so hip to that jive

deni's avatar

totally!! ok. well, i sometimes jokingly poke fun at star wars, but really i like it and i enjoy the music. especially the cantina band song, i’m dancing to it right now.

sorry off topic.

Alright, look, the best songs to lose your virginity to are the ones that fit the atmosphere. Chick/Dude, listen. You don’t want it to be some sappy twilight romance song unless you’re setting that type of mood. If you plan to be giving in to any type of ‘horniness’ I’d advice an alternative rock song that depicts the situation. These people here, while giving great suggestions, are only suggesting them because it suited Them. However, regardless of what may suit your personality, you want to suit the other person’s too. So pick something you know, or use your best guess, that they would like. Or, just happen to have it set on the right cd/radio station whatever that you both like or listen to Maybe even in the car on the way somewhere. If you can’t drive and neither can your partner, my guess is you’re too young to be worried and thinking about doing it anyway, so leave it be until the actual right time. If you’re old enough and have been with the same person for atleast a year, fuck it and go for it. Good luck
