Email tracking?

I got a suspicious email yesterday evening at 4:21 PM from danielgaylc@gmail.com. It said, simply:

okay how you want.
see you later

I know no one by the name Daniel Gay or Daniel Gay and have no idea what this person is talking about. Maybe it’s just spam, but it really doesn’t seem like it. Is there any to find out who this person is? I replied and asked them, but haven’t received a response yet.
