What's the best way to get rid of canker sores?

I get these sores on the inside of my mouth sometimes and they hurt like hell.

If it is painful you can take Ibuprofen or Tylenol to help with the pain. You can also use an ice cube to help with the pain.

To help get rid of the actual canker sore you swish with salt water. It’ll burn a bit but it really does help. You also need to brush the teeth that rub up against the canker sore often and well. It may hurt to brush them because the toothbrush will knock the canker sore around but it is necessary.

My mom always made me gargle saltwater…. I dunno if it actually helped or if it was a wives tale though.

@westy81585 It helps because salt kills bacteria and such. Salt is very good for all kinds of illnesses as well as open sores.
