Where did the name "billy" in Saw come from? (the doll on the TV's)

I have watched the saw franchise countless times, I am familiar with the whole plot, but on the internet, it claims the name of the doll that’s on the TV’s in the “games” is called “billy”. I have never heard this name mentioned in the actual movie. By any chance, which saw did this come from?

The name was given to him by his real-life creator James Wan, who is the director and co-writer of Saw.

Wikipedia 4tw? Although that means the above fact is most likely false. As for the reason why he gave it, /shrug.
