Do you think the new star trek film will help boost sales of previous star trek films/seasons?

I can’t help but wonder if this is the case…I was doing some “research” at The Pirate Bay and saw that the series of The Next Generation now has a huge leeching ratio. I wanted to know if you think this new film will breath a saving breath into the practically vacant corpse that was star trek. (please note when I say vacant, I point that their has not been a decent star trek show for years, look at the history, the shows used to overlap)

Yes I think so. I just saw the movie and loved it. I hope they make more. It does make me want to watch a few series as well.

yup, all the previous star trek efforts have been repackaged and stores in the uk like HMV are taking out ads with just star trek merchandise, obsessive fans will buy it for the new packages, new fans may be intrigued.

Saw the movie this afternoon and really enjoyed it, so much better than any of the previous attempts that I look forward to see more in this current vein.
