What's going on with my lurve?
There’s a specific comment that I made which received 3 lurve points on the actual post. But, on the side menu under my lurve (you know, where it shows all your lurve and tells you that you got +1 for visiting two days in a row) it says that comment got 4. I don’t really care about getting the points, I was just wondering how that happened and if it happened to anyone else.

You can only recieve so much lurve from each user. It probably just hasn’t shown up yet.

Hmm, strange. It could be a delay, but that would resolve over an hour or so. Perhaps someone who lurved your comment was then banned? I’m not sure if banned people still have their lurve given applied or not.

It’s a bug. I’ve had it happen to me on several occasions. Every now and then, one user’s GA counts twice; this shows up as two different ”+5“s in your “lurve” window, but the real number is the one under your quip (using my special super mod vision, I can see that this is what happened to you in this instance).
psst, ubersiren has admitted to a major Fluther faux pas, the lust for lurve. Don’t feel bad, ubersiren, I too am trying to make it to the 10,000 point club.
I’d say the same as Harp. I have inferred that the announcement in the panel on the right is wrong, and not the score on the response, because two ”+5 for answering…” messages show up simultaneously.
I’ve speculated that this happens when the timing between the member’s clicking “GA” and my refreshing the page were too close, but that’s only a guess.
I need points! Somebody lurve me!!!!
