Baggage limits?

Asked by Since010501 (247points) May 16th, 2009 from iPhone

I know there are amount restrictions on liquids in carry-on items, but what about checked baggage, such as shampoo, lotions, ect.?

Each airline makes it’s own rules, and they change from day to day. Call the airline you are flying and ask them just before you leave, to avoid any surprises.

You can pack liquids in your checked luggage. Just be careful that it doesn’t spill while your luggage is thrown around by the people loading the planes… I’d put it in a ziplock or shopping bag. The rules for what can be checked in luggage is set by the TSA and is the same from airline to airline. Here is a list of prohibited items: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm
