Is Captain America really dead?

Asked by Job_Dung_Hill (12points) December 21st, 2007

They always seem to find some way of bringing the best heroes back, but the Cap doesn’t seem to be one for bionics or zombies.

He was killed off, and the move was part comic book commentary on America’s contemporary and tarnished world image. He has or is supposed to come back sporting his familiar shield and (gasp!) a pistol.

I believe Captain America will return in 2008. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,301459,00.html

Yes, but he’ll be back because his outfit is colored red, white and blue. This statement is not based on politics but on observation, many characters that have survived death wear the same tricolor: Sailor Moon, Optimus Prime, Starscream, Jesus (indirectly), and Superman (though he technically wears red, yellow, and blue).

The head of Marvel said for the next year or so Steve Rogers will not be Captain America. Bucky is Cap now. But of course he will come back eventually. He is too big of an icon.
