What is Boxing Day?

Asked by cgatens (8points) December 26th, 2007

I know my counterparts in the UK and Canada have the day after Christmas off- You ask them what it is and they are as clueless as the Americans on this Strange Holiday

It’s just an extra holiday after Christmas Day—I guess a way to extend the Christmas holiday…and now also a big shopping day for Canadians, since there are a ton of Boxing Day Sales. there is some interesting information on Boxing Day on wikipedia.

It’s a day for all the butlers and servants since they’d have to work on Christmas.

The Christmas for the help, it has nothing to do with a sport with 12oz gloves. :-P
