An issue with Windows Live Messenger?

My girlfriend is visiting Japan and we were hoping to use the video call function while she was there. Problem being, since her last update, whenever we try to use the video call, her Messenger crashes.

We both tried reinstalling it but no change. Any ideas?

The problem is that anything Microsoft/Windows is terrible.

Get Skype. Its free and is easy to use. You can video chat and whatever.
