What file types do I need to NOT allow iTunes to open so that I can search the net while another user listens to iTunes?

Right now, if the other user has iTunes open, and I go to MY account and surf the web, I get messages re: can’t open iTunes because another user has it opened. I only want that to happen if I run iTunes. Using Vista (64).
