Got any violent book-related puns?

Asked by DelicateDame (30points) June 10th, 2009

I was thinking about how you could be talking about books, saying “Yeah, I break a bunch of spines,” but also be mistaken for talking about real violence, and that got me thinking about a Book Mafia, if you will. Can any of you think of any more violence/book double entendres?

I’ve heard someone use the phrase “you’ve really got the rubber band around your nuts now” as a reference to being in a perilous position. That’s a reference from the book Fight Club.
