Crash course on shooting web promo video?

Asked by artificialard (2273points) June 15th, 2009

So I was just told I have to shoot a promo video for web use tomorrow at an event for my new job. While I’m an expert computer nerd, competent still photographer, I’ve never shot video before.

Any good ‘crash courses’ or strong points of advice for a beginner? Will likely be using a point and shoot with video features.

As far as shooting footage, just wing it:)

If your using a point and shoot camera with video, you will have separate video
files that need to be edited together for the final product.. do you have access to any particular editing software? Depending on what you have, there could be online tutorials.
