I’ll start

Enya – Orinoco Flow
Vanilla Ice – Ice Ice Baby
Wham! – Wake Me Up Before You Go Go

The_Compassionate_Heretic's avatar

I have an album of tibetan monk chants which I’m sure does not rock in the minds of many many people. I gave an old iPod to a friend who proceeded to mock me mercilessly for the stuff on my pod.

eponymoushipster's avatar

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities as anyone following my twitter knows, Wham! would also be mine.

maybe the CeCe Peniston, I Love Your Smile. or C&C Music Factory Gonna Make You Sweat.

casheroo's avatar

Is it embarrassing that I don’t even own one, and never want to?

eponymoushipster's avatar

@casheroo no, but it makes us think you’re secretly an 83 yr old woman. ;)~

@The_Compassionate_Heretic i’m just a squirrel, trying to get a nut, to move your butt

AstroChuck's avatar

I have both Air Supply – Greatest Hits and Best Of The Village People.

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

@AstroChuck Wait, Air Supply had more than one hit?

The_Compassionate_Heretic's avatar

@eponymoushipster Glorious! Not as glorious as Prince by a long shot, but honorable mention indeed.

DominicX's avatar

Try 75% of it. All my bubblegum dance: my Smile.dk, Aqua, Toy Box, and various others. My Enya songs, Britney Spears, A*Teens, Dream Street, showtunes, etc. Oh well. I don’t really care what people think of the music I listen to.

Actually, it’s probably more like 95% of it…

Tink's avatar

Metro Station!

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

@DominicX If enjoying “I’m a Barbie Girl” is wrong, then I don’t wanna be right.

casheroo's avatar

@eponymoushipster you’ve caught me!

Judi's avatar

“I’m Drunk Come Get Me and Other Silly Ring Tones”

eponymoushipster's avatar

@casheroo i knew those pics were all posed…kid’s too cute and the mother too pretty. gotta be fake. maybe we can get you a portable record player?

@The_Compassionate_Heretic Got “Kiss” and “Let’s Go Crazy”. Also, Poison by BBD. oh, and the kicker? The Golden Girls Theme

The_Compassionate_Heretic's avatar

@eponymoushipster “Kiss” is more soul than I can handle. It’s awesome on a level I have yet to comprehend.

eponymoushipster's avatar

@The_Compassionate_Heretic the intro guitar part alone will make you wet your pants.

The_Compassionate_Heretic's avatar

@eponymoushipster I know that if a girl I date doesn’t like that song, she’s not the girl for me. Test #2 is Al Green.

eponymoushipster's avatar

@The_Compassionate_Heretic heh. That’s my feelings on Morrissey.

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

Also, Kiss From a Rose – Seal.

The_Compassionate_Heretic's avatar

@eponymoushipster An appreciation of Morrissey indicates a thick skin. That’s very important. I respect that.

tiffyandthewall's avatar

i am absolutely shameless.
i have probably every song fall out boy has ever recorded, a few hilary duff songs that i only thought i grew out of, shout by the isley brothers, an album of elton john’s greatest hits (and i firmly stand by the fact that they are great), a french rap song (endearingly titled ‘fuck le monde’), james brown (‘say it loud, i’m black and i’m proud’, and ‘funky president’), tv theme songs from shows like laverne and shirley and threes company and wind in the willows, and a pretty creepy song about some guy’s love for cats.

there is plenty more that i probably should be embarrassed about, and i can’t decide whether it’s good or bad that i am proud to listen to all of them.

AstroChuck's avatar

Ha ha. You guys are so lame.

Tink's avatar

@tiffyandthewall – I lurve Fall Out Boy!

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

@eponymoushipster @The_Compassionate_Heretic “There is a light that never goes out” might be the most depressing happy-sounding song ever. But I still love it.

The_Compassionate_Heretic's avatar

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities What romantic couple hasn’t had fantasies about a doubler decker bus crashing into them?

eponymoushipster's avatar

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities i’ve played that driving with girls before. the response says a lot.

or you can play Handsome Devil. ;)

Tink's avatar

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities -Wait does this question only involve music?

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

@Tink1113 Absolutely not. If it’s embarrassing and on you ipod, throw it out there.

eponymoushipster's avatar

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities i don’t think i want to know things other than music that might be embarrassing on a 14 yr old’s iPod. sinner~

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

@eponymoushipster 14 really?, let’s just stick to music then.

Tink's avatar

Ok well I have every embarrasing thing that has happened to me written in here.
Oh and pictures oh my lots of them.
But I the most embarrasing thing is when you know what never mind

Tink's avatar

I’m no sinner!!!
@eponymoushipster – Oh yeah hold that against me :(

aprilsimnel's avatar

I’ve beaten you all! I think!

Rebbie Jackson – Centipede
Styx – Too Much Time on My Hands
Patrick Hernandez – Born To Be Alive

tinyfaery's avatar

It’s All Coming Back To Me Now by Celine Dion.

Shake Your Love by Debbie Gibson.

May I add that those songs are from my wife’s music collection. But, they are on my phone.

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

@tinyfaery Congratulations, I think Celine Dion is the winner!

tinyfaery's avatar

Come on, Rebee Jackson? That’s gotta be the winner. At least Celine Dion is popular and had more than one hit. Wait. That isn’t a good thing.

whatthefluther's avatar

Thanks to a couple of compilation albums I have the distinct misfortune of including in my collection songs by Michael Bolton and Barry Manilow. But, my iPod has recently filled, so I think I know how to quickly free up some space.

Spice Girls Greatest Hits

New Kids on the Block Greatest Hits, plus “Tonight”, which was foolishly left off the Greatest Hits CD. What were they thinking?

A few songs from the Labyrinth Soundtrack, partially because of David Bowie’s awesomeness, but mostly because I love Dance, Magic Dance.

The Sounds of Sex, which includes a 17 second clip entitled “KY Jelly out of the Tube” and a 44 second clip called “Baby Crying.”

whatthefluther's avatar

A few more:
The Carpenters, Singles 1969–1981
Air Supply, The Definitive Collection I’ve actually seen them in concert several times
Dashboard Confessional The CD was a gift and I tried to give it away in my response to another question, not too long ago, but was unsuccessful

applesaucemanny's avatar

Fall out Boy, Paramore, Nickelback, The Academy is…
I actually like these bands so I don’t really care if they don’t like my taste of music but hey who said they’re type of music was awesome?

mcbealer's avatar

Double Dutch Bus
Turning Japanese
La Bomba
All Star
Tom Cruise:An Unauthorized Biography by Andrew Morton
double disclaimer: I got it for $4.99 on clearance at Borders and it puts me to sleep in 10 minutes flat :P
Vogue the actual video AND song—what was I thinking??
Try a Little Tenderness

eponymoushipster's avatar

@Likeradar why is KY Jelly and a baby crying on the same CD? is it a before/after thing?

DeanV's avatar

Thomas Dolby- “She Blinded Me With Science” and Men Without Hats- “Safety Dance” have gotta be tied.

We can dance if we want to…

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

@dverhey I too have Men Without Hats. You should be proud to have that, not embarrassed.

DeanV's avatar

It’s not necessarily embarrassing, just different than a lot of stuff on there.

TitsMcGhee's avatar

I try not to be embarrassed by anything on my iPod, but there is a good deal of show tunes, Spice Girls, and a few boy bands. I listen proudly, though.

Bri_L's avatar

@TitsMcGhee – That is a good point.

Proudly I sing, off key I might add, ” ....She was a showgirl, yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there….”

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

@wildflower I just died a little on the inside.

wildflower's avatar

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities it takes considerable cheese-tolerance to endure my iTunes library…..

aLeXiE347's avatar

Candy by the old group named Cameo. Haha. I love it.

AstroChuck's avatar

@aLeXiE347- I once knew Cameo’s road manager.
I’d still know him but sadly he’s under the ground now.

aLeXiE347's avatar

Are you serious?? Lol. Thats cool!

Blondesjon's avatar

All of them.

Clair's avatar

HA! I have over half these songs already on mine!
and no, i’m not opening Limewire at this very moment to get the rest..don’t be ridiculous.
Anybody already mention Kiss by Prince? If not, I’m throwing it out there.

TitsMcGhee's avatar

@Clair: In no way is Prince embarrassing. GOD I love that man.

Bri_L's avatar

@TitsMcGhee – Talk about gifted and talented musician. And he is smart. I saw him interviewed on Jay Leno talking about the music industry. He is no chimp

chelsea_steve's avatar

Billie – Honey To The Bee
Chas N Dave – The Sideboard Song
