TOMTOM for iPhone?

Asked by TheCreative (1210points) June 21st, 2009 from iPhone

I am very excited for this app but I have a question. When downloaded, will it already have the maps saved onto the app or will it constantly have to grab the maps from the Internet like The Google Maps iPhone app does? Thanks

The maps will probably be included. There has been similar software released (mobilenavigator europe) which includes both 2d and 3d maps (it takes up over 1.5Gb). However it costs £55 and that is a special offer until the end of the month. I would imagine that TomTom are going to be charging a similar amount.

Alright thanks. Thats great since my iPhone data is blocked and it will still work with the gps. (Outrageous data fees in Canada)

What is TOMTOM? is it an app I should consider for my 3GS?

@cdwccrn It’s a turn-by-turn navigation app.

What I’m wondering is why doesn’t AT&T just develop TeleNav (or I think they call it AT&T Navigator now) for iPhone. It’s available free on many of their other devices and you just pay a small monthly fee… It just doesn’t make sense to me.
