What branch of the military will control the 'Final Frontier'?

Asked by gambitking (4206points) June 23rd, 2009

All the sci-fi fantasy realms have examined different possibilities. Could it be the Air Force (Stargate), the Marines (Halo), the Navy (Star Wars), the Army (Starship Troopers)... or a new department

It would probably be a new department, starfleet (star trek)

CIA..
Oh wait, they already do.

Or I would say, the world bank.

Or perhaps The Federation

@MrKnowItAll
The Federation is a political entity governing the Alpha Quadrant, modelled after the U.N.
The military organisation in charge of the various spaceships is Starfleet.

Say that in Klingon

Air Force, they already do launches into space. And have a big space division comparable to NASA.

Anything with a ship is all Navy.

Haven’t we already started controlling the final frontier with NASA?

The United States Postal Service.

I agree with willbraun, it would probably be the air force.

On a side note, I took a speech class one semester and there was this kid in my class who swore aliens were out there. We had to give speeches about ourselves and our families and I spoke about how my father works for Lockheed Martin. After class, he gave me this creepy letter addressed to my father. I read it and he was asking my father questions about aliens and about the parts they use in their spaceships. I never gave my dad the letter and avoided him the rest of the semester….I still don’t really know what to think of it.

@nayeight
yeah
it is impossible for a lowly technician to have any knowledge of above-top-secret technology

Blobman's avatar

@nayeight Maybe he is an alien and is on a secret mission to find out how much we really know about his kind.
