My screen just went upside down, does anyone know how to fix this?

Asked by Kelly27 (1501points) June 25th, 2009

Everything on my screen is upside down and the mouse is also backwards, if you move it up it goes down.

Did you press the directional keys and shift to make that happen?

Kelly27's avatar

@Ivan -Uhm how, why, did you do that?

Tink's avatar

Thats so cool, and a pretty layout too

Tink's avatar

@Kelly27 -So did it work?

Kelly27's avatar

@Ivan I could actually read that when it was still upside down. We figured it out, had to go through control panel, hardware and then from there to primary display. @Tink1113 Hitting any variation with shift and the arrows didn’t work. Thanks for the help though. :)

CTRL-SHFT-Down Arrow

Tink's avatar

@Kelly -Sure. That usually worked for me

pats04fan's avatar

I believe ( and this was messing with computers when i was in school) you press control+up or down arrow

Tink's avatar

Yeah I did it at school too, thats where I learned how to do it

Oh i should read the comments in front of mine

There used to be an April Fools joke that did that to your monitor. I think you had to reboot to make it stop.

Otherwise, have you considered turning your monitor upside down?

@Tink1113 update your itouch to 3.0 and you should get copy and paste.

Let’s stop answering tech questions when we have no idea what the answer is.

@eambos Seriously! I expected to come in here seeing the answer and what is all this silly nonsense? Not helpful, that’s what it is.

The actual simple answer to this question is that there are key combinations that change the screen alignment. It is usually Control-Alt and an arrow key (hold control and alt, press and hold an arrow key for a second).

@dynamicduo

Hasn’t the question been answered? Were the responses before the question was answered silly?

eambos's avatar

There were 10 responses before the problem was solved, and none of the responses even gave @Kelly27 the answer to her question. The first person to answer was just throwing out random information, not providing much help.

This could have been answered in one simple response if the right person had seen it.

@eambos -I believe I did give useful information to Kelly27
