Injured bird, what do I do?

I’m actually asking this question for a friend. My friend is at work when a bird flew into the building, and constantly went head-on at a window in the stairwell. The bird is now not moving, but still alive. The bird moves when touched and apparently likes to bite. The bird cannot fly or catch his/her own balance. What does one do in this situation?
