How to block text messenger?

Asked by nmguy (528points) June 29th, 2009

About 2 years ago, I signed up for a free musical download ring for my cell phone. Every week, I get messages from the company. How do I block these messages? I have a Verizon LG phone, and Verizon is the provider.

Hmmm LG phone?
Got 3 solutions for u
1. At the very bottom of the text aren’t there like refuse this text or something?
2. Your cell probably has a spam function which blocks certain key words or numbers. type the number from which the text comes from and bingo!
3. Call verizon. the simplest way!

Btw, the spam function is either in the messages menu or something like that. look far and wide if you can’t see it. If you can’t, go to solution 3

Call Verizon and ask them to block txts from them. It’s the quickest way and if they are still coming through, you can legitimately dispute the charge with Verizon.

Try replying to the text “STOP” or “QUIT”. Those are the most frequent opt-out phrases.
