What about the other days of the week?

Asked by Blondesjon (33994points) July 1st, 2009

It’s just another manic Monday, Tuesday’s gone with the wind, and Saturday night is all right for fighting.

What about the rest of them?

Especially Wednesday…

The Easybeats – Friday on My Mind:

“Monday morning feels so bad,
Ev’rybody seems to nag me
Coming Tuesday I feel better,
Even my old man looks good,
Wednesday just don’t go,
Thursday goes too slow,
I’ve got Friday on my mind”

Friday night arrives without a suitcase
Sunday morning creeping like a nun
Monday’s child has learned to tie his bootlegs
Tuesday afternoon is never ending
Wednesday morning papers didn’t come
Thursday night you stocking needed mending

When you are a work at homer like I am, every day is exactly like every other day, except sometimes there are more people around. There is no such thing as a weekend, or a holiday, or a vacation. Half the time I have no idea what day of the week it is, or even what month.

I have to look at the Yahoo TV list to even find out what is on. My newspapers stack up, because I only read them about every third day or when there is a Sunday paper on both the top and the bottom of the pile, I stop and read them.

Monday had a sad child
Always feeling low down,
Tuesday had a dream child
She’s always on the go
So I’m in love with Saturday’s child

Every time you take her out at night
(She drives me wild)
You want to kiss and hold her way up tight
(Gonna spend my time)
You can tell the future’s looking bright
(Making sure that Saturday’s child is mine)

If you love a Wednesday
You live your life apart now
And if you love a Thursday
She’s gonna break your heart,
So I’m in love with Saturday’s Child

Every time you hold her close you’ll see
(She drives me wild)
You can feel the thrill that’s gonna be
(Gonna spend my time)
Now the future has a guarantee
(Making sure that Saturday’s child is mine)

Seven days of the week made to choose from
But only one is right for me
I know that Saturday’s got what it takes, babe.
I can tell by the way she looks at me.

Friday likes the good life
She’ll take you for a ride now
And Sunday makes a good wife
She wants to be your bride
So I’m in love with Saturday’s child…

Guess which day of the week I was born…?

When I was in college and playing rugby, there was a rugby song that a lot of the girls on my team liked. It was a call and response. It’s the second song here (vaguely NSFW).
you’ll understand why I don’t post the lyrics. I’m a lady now, and don’t say such things anymore.

Don’t know what happened to Saturday!

i’m sure we don’t need another person linking to friday, i’m in love, but that song is pretty relevant and true.

@AstroChuck I did, after the fact, hence the quotes before I added “Don’t know what happened to Saturday!”
