Missouri State Representative Cynthia Davis: shrewd money manager or heartless bureaucrat?

Asked by SuperMouse (30845points) July 3rd, 2009

Missouri state representative Cynthia Davis recently opined that because hunger can be a good motivator the state should not fund a summer food program for its children. What do you think of this idea?

Throw me in the “heartless bureaucrat” side.

When will these idiots get it?

Whoa. That’s, um, intense. And ridiculous. If you’re under 18 you should be able to go somewhere and get a meal at least once a day. Hunger can be a great motivator, but poor nutrition can damage your brain. So no, McDs is not an adequate substitute for a state run healthy meal option.

Is she a Republican? That sounds very Reaganistic. Remember the old Reagan line that Ketchup is a vegetable?

How do these people keep getting elected?
