General Question

I have an iPhone syncing question and I already tried to use the search feature.

Asked by Judi (40025points) July 3rd, 2009

I just set up my iTunes on a new computer. (Windows.)Everything seemed fine and dandy. I went on iTunes and bought an audio book that plays fine on my computer but it won’t sync with my iPhone. I click on file and everything is in bold except the “sync” tab.
I know I’m not real computer savvy, but I am not completely illiterate and I can’t for the life of me figure out why it won’t let me sync it. I would like to have the audio book for the car, not just the computer.

Go into iTunes. Connect your iPhone. In iTunes, in the left column select your iPhone. Go to the music tab. In there I believe you can choose to sync your audiobooks.

The method which I use…. I create a playlist called ‘books’ and insert the audiobooks into that playlist. My iTunes library is very large. I sync selected playlists and voilĂ . Not sure if I made any sense here but Apple is known for making intuitive software with low learning curves so you should figure out without too much of a hassle.

I had the same problem. The way I got around it was as follows:
1.Plug in the phone and select it on the “devices” list
2.On the “Summary” tab check “Manually manage music and videos”
3.Then select “Books” under the library and drag and drop the book you want from the list to your phone under “Devices”
