Is Windows Vista compatible with Nikon Coolpix 3200 digital camera?

Tried to transfer digital pictures from a Nikon Coolpix 3200 camera to newly purchased laptop that has Windows Vista. Apparently Vista cannot “see” the Nikon Coolpix 3200 and won’t allow transfer of pictures to be made. Any suggestions?
