Does anyone else despise those that fall all over themselves trying do show how 'open minded' they are? Why?

it is annoying. actually, anything that is not genuine about an individual gives me reason not to trust that person, not necessarily despise them, but to be wary of them.

Not only that, but folks who go out of their way to prove anything to me about themselves.

If I sense they are trying too hard, being purposely PC, using buzzwords, etc. – I tend to (figuratively) run the other way. It tells me they are at best disingenuous, at worst pathological.

I used to give these folks the benefit of the doubt, figuring they were just insecure and in needs of reassurance. Unfortunately, none of those relationships ever turned out well. So now I know better.

I know those people, they have taken political correctness to an extreme. I am who I am, if others don’t like it, then fine. I don’t care. My life isn’t a popularity contest. To those people that know where I stand, all I can say is: If you aren’t going to like the answer, then don’t ask the question.
