Is there something wrong with my new iPhone? It gets real warm after using it for about 10-15 minutes.

Are you charging it while using it?

If you are charging it, it gets very warm.

It takes awhile to cool down, but it’s normal that it happens.

@Tink1113. No just regular use. Doesn’t do it every time, just once in a while.

actually coming from a dork…is it the white 3GS version…if so it does in fact over heat and over time will discolor the back casing. I’m sure apple has known about this and will probably do something about it. But many other people are having this problem too. You aren’t the only one :)

@ninetails Oh, that happens to my iPod at times but I don’t know why

As Ninetails stated previously, the white 3GS phones were reportedly overheating from some battery malfunction and were being replaced if you went to an apple store and inquired about it(also over the phone). But yes, they do seem to get hot. Its just if their scorching hot you may want to turn it off and put in front of a fan for a while.

@running4ever5. Thanks for the info. It is the new white 3GS. I guess I’ll be going to see a genius soon.
