Where is the best place to purchase cycling shoes online?

I’ve been taking spin classes for quite a while now and I see that a lot of people have cycling shoes…. I’ve been told that they are very helpful. I plan, at some point in the near future, in getting a road bike and the associated gear… but for now I think a good place to jump in would be some good shoes. Thoughts and suggestions?

I would suggest that you get fitted for such shoes in person before you buy online. You could at least talk to someone at a bike shop about what you’re doing now (and what sort of bike you’ll be getting in the future) and get suggestions on what shoes to buy. The good folks at REI have some notes on getting the right footwear.
