How do I get my hair to grow faster?

So I went to a salon for the first time, after years of doing my hair myself just fine. I only wanted to see how a professional would do it. I asked for a layered cut, with the shortest layer being at my shoulders, and the longest a little below my shoulder blades. I also asked for a trim on the babydoll bangs which I had previously spent nearly and hour perfecting…(due to OCD).
Here’s what she did: she made the LONGEST layer above my shoulders, nearly at my jaw! She butchered the bangs, and made them completely crooked! Let’s just say I was…slightly…upset and angry.
So now I am trying to figure out how to grow my hair faster so I can be rid of the horrid bangs, once and for all.
