How much is this going to effect my car insurance?

Asked by simone54 (7629points) August 10th, 2009

I got two tickets very close to each other. They’re both going to be moving violations. One for speeding and one for making a right where there was a left turn. So it seems they’re both gonna give me points. How much is going to effect my insurance? I’m in California.

No definite answer, but from a capitalist business standpoint, I would increase the monthly fee, as the probability of you causing an accident and incurring cost on my insurance company increased

I had three speed trap tickets once and it caused State Farm to refuse to give me liability insurance, for statistical reasons. I went and appealed in person but the agent was helpless to do anything.

If you do traffic school, it should reduce the points. I drove for 35 years without ever getting a moving violation ticket, and then got two within 6 months.

Pretty much the same here. I think it’s too late for driving school. Maybe the cop won’t show.
