Not selling, no way, nope, not doing it.

teh_kvlt_liberal's avatar

At least the ability to fly

marinelife's avatar

Mine is priceless, of course!

Sarcasm's avatar

About tree fitty.

hug_of_war's avatar

I’d probably have to pay them to take it off my hands

“What’d the devil give you for your soul, Tommy?”
“Well, he taught me to play this here guitar real good.”
“Oh son, for that you sold your everlasting soul?”
“Well, I wasn’t usin’ it.”

I’d expect more than some guitar skillz, that’s for damn sure.

$19.92. The equivalent of 6 bushels of corn.

Tink's avatar

I’d probably get a nickle for it…

But I wouldn’t sell it. I’d like to keep it. Unless an irresitable offer came up that I couldn’t refuse.

@petethepothead Please tell me the hand-drawn jelly will be back someday. It is one of my all-time favorite avatars!

arnbev959's avatar

@Marina: Back, just for you.

marinelife's avatar

@petethepothead Ahhhh! I feel better already! Did you note I am back to my original avatar too?

My soul is not for sale at any price, but on the open market it would probably fetch at least $10,000,000.

arnbev959's avatar

Yes, I did. Although I liked the blue sails quite a bit, I do think I prefer the original. It’s nice to see it back.

My soul wouldn’t fetch a dime, I don’t think. And anyone who thinks their soul would fetch more, is deluded. Even if souls existed, they can’t possibly be of any use to anyone but the person they belong to. Even if Satan existed, he is utterly deluded if he thinks souls are of any value to him.

Soul is a metaphor for the magic that is a person that can only exist in a live body. However, it can only exist in the body that holds all those experiences and thoughts that created that person. The soul is worthless to anyone else, because it can not exist anywhere else then where it is.

You might as well ask what the price of a human is. Human lives can be taken cheaply by those who value them little. But a person can never sell themselves for any price in the universe. There is no market for souls.

A six pack and a dime bag.

Darwin's avatar

Maybe $1.98. Or maybe less. Right now it is very tired and worn out so it isn’t worth much.

tinyfaery's avatar

I cannot sell what does not exist.

quasi's avatar

@tinyfaery why not, non-existant or rather intangible things seem to be bought and sold quite frequently.

Bluefreedom's avatar

My soul, outside of my body, turns me into an empty shell and it has no redeeming value to anyone else who might want to purchase it. Selling it would be a worthless proposition. It’s a lose / lose situation all the way around.

Sampson's avatar

I’m waiting for the market to improve.

Right now, probably what @hug_of_war said.

hungryhungryhortence's avatar

I don’t think mine would have any monetary value even if I did lose my mind to want to put it for sale.

hiphiphopflipflapflop's avatar

The market is glutted these days.

mattbrowne's avatar

It’s hard to define the soul of a person. But this might come close: there are women selling their virginity to the highest bidder on Ebay. I’m not sure about the market value in the US, but recently an 18-year-old woman earned something like 7000 euros.

cbloom8's avatar

$494.87 MSRP

Jeruba's avatar

About ten years’ salary in high tech.

Luckily I held onto my pawn ticket, and now I’ve redeemed it. <whew>
