How can I make jewellery out of my old guitar strings?

Asked by Tennis5tar (1263points) January 16th, 2008

It’s the first time I’ve changed them and I want to keep maybe one or two as a memento.

I’m wondering if you couldn’t use them to make an “illusion” necklace or bracelet. Good idea & good luck!

You could cut the wire in the length you would need for a bracelet and a necklace. Then take more wire to wrap all around the two wires. Create charms from another string of things you like, as musical instruments, sports equipement, or letters. Attach them to the bracelet and necklace. Then put them on to see if they are the right length and enjoy your new jewelry.
