Obtaining Public Records online?

Has anyone used an online public records database? I need to look up some marriage/divorce dates, addresses, etc. There are a lot of databases online, but I’m not sure which one is legit.

Google the name of the county you want and then click on the civil/family court cases which should give you searches by names and birthdates.
