My ipod wont hold a charge what do i do?

Replace the battery, mine is starting to do the same, I get maybe 1 hour out of it tops. I went to the Apple store the other day just to find out about changing it, they said it was £50 to get it sent off and changed or £20 for a kit to change it yourself.

really well is there a way yo can fix it for free?

If it needs a new battery you are going to have to buy one I’m afraid.

How old is it? If you’ve only had it a year or less, take it to the Apple Store nearest you. Most likely they’ll replace it for you, as it’s still under warranty. They replaced mine.

@MrItty That’s a good point, mine is really old now so no chance of it being done for free.

Mine was under a year old, so I sent it back to them. They sent me a replacement within the week at no charge. I don’t live near an apple store.
